The company which plans to build an offshore wind farm in the sea in Poole Bay is to host a meeting locally next month to discuss the possible siting of a substation between Three Legged Cross and West Moors near Ringwood.

Eneco have held a series of exhibitions to show their plans to residents and interested parties and to discuss proposals to site up to 240 turbines in the bay.

The company has also identified two possible sites for its substation with land south of the existing Mannington substation at Holt Road and a plot east of West Moors Road where power would be channelled into the national grid.

A public exhibition will be held at West Moors Memorial Hall on Tuesday, February 28, from 2pm to 8pm.
