RINGWOOD COMPANY WINS AFGHANISTAN ORDER

Ringwood

based company, Armfield Ltd, who specialise in the design and manufacture of

engineering teaching and training equipment for universities and colleges,

recently obtained an order via its USA subsidiary, Armfield Inc, for equipment

with a value in excess of $500,000.

While a

handsome award in its own right, it is particularly pleasing for the company as

this equipment has been purchased by the US Army Corp of Engineers and will be

gifted by the Corp to Kandahar University in Afghanistan.

The initial

contact was made by army personnel stationed in Kandahar who found the company

and its products via the Armfield website. The equipment will be used to train

Afghan students at the university studying the engineering disciplines of civil

and mechanical engineering.
