Ringwood Town Council has launched an initiative inviting local community groups and individuals to join in and help plan Diamond Jubilee Celebrations for the town.

Her Majesty the Queen's Diamond Jubilee logo designed by Katherine Dewar, aged 10 from Chester. Plans underway for Ringwood to join in the celebrations.
2012 marks the historic event of Her Majesty The Queen celebrating sixty years on the throne, only the second monarch to do so, and the country will celebrate over the weekend of the 2nd-5th June 2012.
Ringwood Town Councillors are hoping that Ringwood will celebrate in style to mark the occasion.
Former town Mayor Cllr Christine Ford commented:"We believe that Her Majesty has given wonderful service to the people of this country and it is right and fitting that the people in Ringwood, and indeed throughout the country, should have the opportunity to celebrate her Diamond Jubilee."
People are already coming forward to add their support, including the Ringwood and Fordingbridge Lions Club. The Council has allocated some funding and has written to a large number of local organisations inviting them to get involved.
Anyone who would like to add their support or get involved in any way can contact Ringwood Town Council on 01425 473883.
