Mean thieves raid Ferndown charity shop - now police appeal for witnesses

Police in Ferndown are appealing for
witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a burglary at the
Marie Curie Cancer Care charity shop in the town.
The incident, in which offenders forced entry to the charity shop on Victoria Road, happened at 8.15am
on Monday, 13 September 2010.
The offenders broke through a rear window and stole a variety of
items.
Police Constable Mike Henstridge, of Ferndown police, said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this
burglary to contact me.
“One of the items stolen is very distinctive – a
small copy of Tutankhamun’s death mask, which is about five inches tall
with a red wood base plinth with an inscription.
“I am appealing for anyone who witnessed any
suspicious activity in Victoria
Road to contact me as soon as possible.
“Anyone with information about this burglary and those
responsible is urged to call Dorset Police urgently. All calls will be treated
in the strictest of confidence.”
