The Avon Valley Youth Choir is gearing up for a spectacular Summer concert which will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday 1 September in the beautiful St Mary’s Church, Fordingbridge. The choir of local, talented youngsters will perform a programme of sublime 20th century music including Lo, the full, final sacrifice by Finzi and Rejoice in the Lamb by Britten. There will also be solos featuring some of our rising stars. Once again, we will be raising funds for an important, local charity: this time for the Fordingbridge Museum. The Fordingbridge Museum containing some 5,000 artefacts is now in its 11th year. It is run by approximately 50 volunteers who steward, manage the collections and generally keep everything ticking over. It depends on donations to survive.
