Cook The Books in Ringwood

How would you fancy a ‘restaurant crawl’ around Ringwood? It is the same concept as a 'pub crawl' but instead of a change of tipple it is a change of food, more specifically you have a three course meal with all three courses at a different local restaurant. Sound fun? The read on.

I have read that the proprietor from Paperview has started this new ‘Cook the Books’ restaurant crawl through Ringwood with a very good response so far and looks like becoming the next big dining experience.

The Cook the Books experience is organised so that at each venue the chef provides a cooking demonstration of a particular recipe in a cook book which then becomes the prize in a food quiz. At each venue guests have the opportunity to win a different cook book, probably supplied by Paperview.

The restaurants currently participating are Curry Garden, La Bettola and Seven Fish but with more demand I am sure other restaurants will join in the fun.

With many cooking programs on tv now people are encouraged to ‘get cooking’ and to increase their knowledge of food. Cooking demonstrations are a great idea to help people improve their cooking skills and it is also nice to get to know the chef’s in your local restaurants.

Paperview do stock lots of fabulous hardback cookery books too if you just fancy getting creative with your cooking. I always cook using a cook book so have many cook books on the shelf in the kitchen.
