Talented Ringwood youngster has the world at his feet.

Gideon Read has just signed his first record deal at the tender age of twelve-years-old, but that’s not his only achievement. He has also performed on television and is a British dancing champion. So it seems the sky is the limit for young Gideon as he starts out on a promising entertainment career.

For four years Gideon was a member of Shake, and urban dance group run by Rachel King. During those years he received a lot of encouragement from Rachel and the team came first in the under twelve British Urban Dance Championships in 2009.

But that isn’t enough for the talented and ambitious youngster who last month auditioned for a new singing and dancing group Krushd, and was chosen alongside three girls from the London area. An owner of a record label was so impressed with the youngsters he signed them up for a record deal, and asked them to perform in front of thousands at the televised Urban Music Awards, alongside such acts as Diversity and Tinnie Tempah.

As well as recording the group’s new single Gideon has still found time to win an ‘Outstanding Musical Achievement’ award in 2010, as well as appearing as one of Fagin’s boys in the Ringwood Musical and Dramatic Society’s production of ‘Oliver’.

Good luck for the future, Gideon.
