Will Ringwood’s winter weather affect your car?

It’s cold, ****** cold. If your car was anything like mine this morning you probably had a tough time getting it cleared of snow and getting going. What can you do to combat this?

A regular service is the best advice I can give. Millstream Motor Company and Burley Street Garage can check your car is in good working order for the worst of the weather winter can throw at us. It’s also a good idea to check your tyre pressure and treads; as well as making sure you have some de-icer handy. Millstream Motor Company will check your tyres are road worthy and will replace them if not. And for all your de-icing needs Windmill Service Station can help you out.

But how do you drive on snowy roads? Slow and steady is the best bet, making sure your leave extra distance than you normally would between you and the car in front. And don’t slam on your brakes, push them gently and try and brake earlier if you can. And please, don’t forget to wipe the snow off your headlights. You wouldn’t believe how many cars I saw this morning that hadn’t.

And if you should have an accident you can always call in at Accident Repair Centre to have those dents removed.

Take care out there.
